University of Illinois

The Environmental Change Institute accepts course development and enhancement proposals from UIUC faculty and staff between November 1 and January 16 of each academic year. In order to be considered for funding, proposals must be based on the ECI area of interest, which is global environmental change research and outreach, particularly related to food systems and security, resource and energy use, public policy and economic well-being, and biodiversity and ecosystem health. Courses focusing on the intersection of business, policy, and science will receive highest consideration. Strong preference will be given to active learning and project orientated courses.

Please review the funding requirements noted on this page. In order to receive full consideration, the applicant is asked to adhere to the "eligible proposals" section. Please submit the pre-proposal by January 16 as noted in the RFP.
